2009-Andrew "Stinger" Murdy99 viewsThe photo was sent by Andrew's grandmother, Rita Bennett and father, David Beatty.
It was one of the pre season games this season, and my son who happens to be a youth football coach and President for Thomas Jefferson (TJ), and my grandson Andrew "Stinger" were representing their football league during pre game festivities. They were standing in line and Brett and his teammates were warming up. Andrew stood there watching in amazement in his black & gold team jersey (by the way, his football number is #99) also. My son said he saw Brett look over their way but never thought anything of it. Well, Brett walked over and shook my grandson's hand and took his (Brett's) hat off and gave it him. Well need I say anymore...Andrew wears that hat everywhere.
I just want to say thank you to Brett for being so kind and for being a genuine # 1 player. I wear a Brett jersey and have been since last season I just think he is one of the best players in the NFL.Nov 25, 2009

They went to Pittsburgh before Dave deployed to Iraq. The couple attended the Browns game and were able to meet Brett an an autograph signing.
